Joe’s Ultimate Defense

By: Joe Siniscalchi (@Joe_Siniscalchi)

About a month ago, I listed my ultimate offense, where I made a list of what players I would want on my dream offense and what type of scheme it would be. Here is part two of that post, where I will talk about my dream defense.

On defense, I prefer an attacking 4-3, similar to what the Giants run, sprinkled in with some 3-4 looks. For that, I need versatility along the defensive line. I also like corners who are aggressive, are strong in man coverage, and physical at the line of scrimmage. My free safety needs to be a ballhawk, and my strong safety needs to be averse in both pass coverage and lining up in the box to stop the run.

With that, here is my ultimate defense.

#TheList: 5 NFL Teams Who Can Make Some Noise

By: Joe Siniscalchi (@Joe_Siniscalchi)

The NFL season is still four long months away, but as far as I’m concerned, everyday is a good day to discuss football. With the majority of the offseason over with, OTA’s and training camps are the only activities left. As rosters are beginning to shape into place, I’ve thought about which teams can surprise, and which teams can disappoint.

Look at the past few seasons. The 2007 Browns, the 2012 Colts and Redskins, the 2008 Dolphins, and the 2010 Seahawks all emerged as teams that came out of nowhere to make waves. Who wouldn’t want a player named Rambo? Photo credit: BleacherReport.com

With the 2013 NFL Draft just a day away, I have already posted two mocks. You’ve all probably heard of the top talent, but I want to let you guys know of some names scouts like that you won’t hear about until the middle rounds. With that, here’s my list of five prospects you need to know:

Baccari Rambo- S, Georgia: His name just sounds intimidating. The safety’s stock is down a bit due to two suspensions involving failed drug tests, but the upside is there. Rambo has the strength, size, and agility to start on an NFL defense. He needs to sharpen up his mental skills and technique, but he can thrive on a defense with proper coaching. Expect him to go anywhere from rounds 2-4.

Joe’s Ultimate Offense

By: Joe Siniscalchi

With the draft less than a week away, teams across the NFL are finalizing their draft boards and preparing what-if scenarios. This is usually when the action cools off a bit. I figured I can use this otherwise dull period to post my NFL dream team based on personnel and scheme. I’ll break this up into two segments; one focusing on offense and the other on defense. Let’s start with the offense.
